GUARDIAN OF THE FRONTIER (Varuh Meje), 2002 Award Recipient

LEVI’S® FIRST FEATURE AWARD
The San Francisco International Lesbian & Gay Film Festival has long been the proving ground for up-and-coming filmmakers—and the place to see the best new films first.

Over the years, Festival juries and audiences have announced these new talents to the world by bestowing a variety of awards on first features such as GUARDIAN OF THE FRONTIER, HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, COSTA BRAVA, TOGETHER ALONE, and ORANGES ARE NOT THE ONLY FRUIT. Make sure to catch the most promising new filmmakers in the world at the Festival this year.

Generously funded by Levi Strauss & Co., this $10,000 juried award is presented to the best first narrative feature screening at the 27th San Francisco International Lesbian & Gay Film Festival.
